AI in Action (12/11/2025 – 20/11/2025)

2025-1-PL01-KA151-YOU-000300788

The project objectives for this international training course are:

  • To apply AI tools in daily life, work, and youth work to improve productivity, creativity, and learning.
  • To promote critical and digital literacy – question AI outputs, understand biases, detect misinformation and fakes, and practice safe online habits.
  • To practice and model healthy digital habits to support focus, wellbeing, and balance.
  • To share experiences on AI, digital safety, and youth work in different cultural contexts.
  • To design and test workshops that put new knowledge into practice and provide tools to use with young people back home.

13/11/2025: Get to know each other & introduction to the project

We kicked-off the first day with ice-breaker games, designed to get to know all the participants. During these games, we successfully hunted for common grounds which connected the group on a deeper level. After that, we got introduced to the training course. The group reflected on their expectations, fears and contributions. It became clear early on that our group possesses a broad range of AI knowledge, with some participants being beginners and others already experts. This promises to be an interesting week, where we can learn not only from the trainers, but also from each other!

14/11/2025: Digital security & healthy digital consumption

Day two started with an exploration of our own digital footprint by researching each other online. The variation in online visibility among participants sparked a crucial discussion about digital security, leading to questions such as: How secure is the information across our accounts? Have any personal details, such as passwords, been compromised or leaked?

After the confronting reality of the data we have generated and its potential exposure, the focus shifted to our consumption habits. We researched our screen time, and how many times a day we pick up our phones. To end the day, we participated in an offline and mute game, which brought us back to basics.

    15/11/2025: Exploration of Poznan

Day three offered a rewarding change of pace as the group explored the historic city of Poznan. We roamed the streets, taking in the beauty of the historical architecture and notable landmarks. During this day we enjoyed a traditional Polish delicacy: Pierogi (Polish dumplings). While officially taking a break from the project’s topic, we deepened our connections, which made us feel more comfortable around each other for the rest of the week.

16/11/2025: Different AI tools & the AI debate

Following our day of rest, we immediately re-engaged with the core topic of the training course, diving into a session focuses on ChatGPT and other advanced AI tools. A major component involved mastering the skill of effective prompt engineering. We explored a curated selection of AI alternatives, realizing that tools are optimized for specific outputs, such as photo generation or precise text summarization. Completing the practical skills, we also delved deeper into the history and exponential evolution of AI. This discussion highlighted the field’s rapid change.

17/11/2025: Critical thinking & workshop creation

To kick-off the fifth day, we split up into smaller groups and discussed the ‘story of Abigail’. It was an exercise that quickly exposed how personal values and differing interpretations led to wide-ranging conclusions among participants. This demonstrated the subjective nature of perception, paving the way for a deep dive into critical thinking. We concluded this session with the fact that ai is inherently non-objective. It is created by developers with their own motivations, and is consumed by users with their own biases.

To conclude the day, we transitioned into the practical application of our week’s learning by beginning the development of our own educational workshops, a task we will finalise on the last days.

    18/11/2025: Workshop creation & presentation

On day six we are finalising our educational workshops that we started developing the day before. Then, the moment arrived to present our workshops tot the other participants. It was inspiring to witness the diverse and creative ways participants chose to apply the AI tools and concepts we had explored. The presentations were followed by a structured feedback round, allowing us to offer constructive critiques and suggestions for improvement.

19/11/2025: Workshop presentation & project evaluation

The last day has arrived. We continued with the presentations of our own workshops, and the feedback on it. To formally wrap up the week-long international training course, we dedicated time to individual project evaluation, allowing each participant to reflect on their personal growth and the program’s effectiveness. The day concluded on a heartfelt and appreciative note, with participants sharing words of sincere gratitude for the enriching experience and the new international connections that have been made.
